Hollie Badacour, a teacher at Knox Doss Middle School at Drakes Creek, is the Hendersonville Rotary Club's latest Educator of the Month.
Todd Parrish presented the award, and Knox Doss Principal Mitch Flood joined the recognition, the Rotary Club said on X on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Badacour is the third local educator the club has honored in recent months. In September, the club recognized Melissa Skaggs, a seventh-grade mathematics teacher and teacher leader at T.W. Hunter Middle School, as Main Street Media of Tennessee reported. Rotarian Karen Mitchell presented that award, with T.W. Hunter Principal Dr. Jay Lovett attending.
Before that, the club honored Eli Duncan of Hawkins Middle School. Duncan serves as a teacher, coach and athletic director, the club said in a separate post on X. That recognition took place before June.
The Rotary Club of Hendersonville received the Most Outstanding Club Award for District 6760, according to its website.
The club has not announced when it will name its next Educator of the Month.
