The Hendersonville Lady Commandos shut out Gallatin 3-0 on Friday, Oct. 9, scoring three unanswered goals in an AAA District 12 girls soccer match between Sumner County rivals.

Ansley Rodden broke the scoreless tie early in the second half, putting Hendersonville on the board first. Sydney Hines followed with the second goal to extend the lead to 2-0. Desi Walker then sealed it, driving a shot into the top corner of the net for the final margin, as Main Street Media of Tennessee first reported.

Walker's finish capped the shutout.

Goalkeeper Ally Bacigalupo earned the clean sheet for coach Devin Woodard's squad. Lilabelle Cundiff was among the defenders visible in the match, helping limit Gallatin's chances throughout the contest, according to Main Street Media's photo gallery.

The result marked a bounce-back for Hendersonville after a 2-1 loss to Station Camp on Sept. 29. That defeat gave the Bison their sixth win in seven meetings in the cross-county rivalry.

Gallatin had its own bright spots heading into the match. Green Wave forward Sawyer Cooper earned a nomination for the Ponce Law Girls Athlete of the Week after scoring a goal and providing two assists in a 3-2 win over Greenwood, according to Yahoo Sports. Cooper was active Friday but could not find the net against the Commandos' defense.

The rivalry has tilted Hendersonville's way in recent seasons. The Lady Commandos beat Gallatin 3-2 in the regular season in October 2025 and then topped the Green Wave 2-0 to claim the Class AAA Region 6 championship later that month, according to the Hendersonville Soccer account on X.

Whether Friday's match was a regular-season contest or part of district tournament play could not be confirmed. District tournament games were underway elsewhere in the area on the same date.

Hendersonville's next scheduled game had not been posted as of Monday, Oct. 12. The Lady Commandos will look to carry the shutout momentum into the final stretch of district play and a potential postseason run.
