Liberty Creek's boys golf team finished as Class A state runner-up at the 2026 TSSAA championship in Sevierville.

The Wolves posted a two-day total of 633 (33-over par) at Sevierville Golf Club's River Course, trailing only Signal Mountain, which won the title at 600 (24-over). Class A results were finalized Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Senior Tucker Rainey led Liberty Creek with a fourth-place individual finish. The Liberty Creek High School Athletics Facebook page credited Coach Brown and the full roster for the season.

Rainey was joined on the state roster by Carter Lomax, Brody Smithson, Cooper Fuqua and Lincoln George, according to a Main Street Preps preview published Sept. 30.

Signal Mountain's Tucker Cruise earned Class A low medalist honors with a 144 (even par over 36 holes), as the program claimed its fifth TSSAA state title, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported.

Reynolds shines in Class AA

Station Camp junior Jonas Reynolds tied for third individually in the Class AA championship with a two-day score of 141 (3-under par). He opened with a 70 (2-under) in the first round, putting him in a tie for second after day one.

The finish caps a breakout season. Reynolds set a Station Camp school record with a 62 earlier this year and won the Region 6-AA boys championship with a 66 to punch his ticket to the state tournament.

Page High School dominated the Class AA team race, finishing at 11-under (565), 41 strokes ahead of second-place Houston, according to Yahoo Sports. Page's Jake Eickhoff won the individual AA title in a playoff.

Hendersonville's boys team also competed in the Class AA field. The Commandos' roster included Grant Miller, Brady Dorr, Wilson Brylowski, Johnathon Bradley and Cooper Willis.

Largest county contingent in years

Sumner County sent three teams and nearly 20 individuals to the state championships, more than doubling its contingent compared to the previous five years, Main Street Preps reported. Station Camp's girls team also qualified for the Class AA girls championship, led by freshman region champion Molly Bloodworth, who shot a 76 to win her regional title.

The state championship wrapped up Friday, Oct. 9, closing the 2026 TSSAA golf season.
