Kaiden Myers faces charges of attempted aggravated rape and aggravated burglary after a multi-agency search ended at a Hendersonville residence on Monday, Oct. 12.

The Sumner County Sheriff's Office said deputies received a text-to-911 message at approximately 4 a.m. reporting a burglary and sexual assault at a Sumner County home, according to the Sumner County Source. The person who sent the message reported that someone had broken into their home and sexually assaulted a resident inside.

The suspect allegedly fled as deputies arrived at the scene.

Four law enforcement and emergency agencies joined the effort to find Myers. The Gallatin Police Department, Hendersonville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Sumner County Emergency Management Agency all coordinated in the search, WSMV reported. The multi-agency response covered ground across Sumner County before the investigation led officers to a residence in Hendersonville.

Myers was located at that residence and taken into custody.

He was booked on charges of attempted aggravated rape and aggravated burglary. His bond was set at $600,000.

Text-to-911 allows residents to send a text message to 911 dispatchers when making a voice call is not safe or possible. Sumner County is among the Tennessee counties that accept text-to-911 messages.

The Sumner County Sheriff's Office has not identified the specific location of the initial incident, describing it only as a Sumner County home. Myers' age and hometown have not been made public. No court date has been announced.

The charges against Myers are allegations. He has not entered a plea as of publication.
