Station Camp's volleyball team won the Region 6-AAA championship Tuesday, Oct. 13, beating Green Hill 3-2 at Green Hill High School.

The Bison took the first two sets 27-25 and 25-21 before Green Hill stormed back to win the third and fourth, 25-20 and 25-22. Station Camp regrouped and closed out the fifth set 15-11 to claim the region crown, according to TSSAA bracket results published by Yahoo Sports.

Senior Teagan Lange anchored the comeback. Main Street Preps reporter David Wilson wrote that Lange "took control of the Bison's huddle entering the final set" of the championship match at Green Hill.

The region title caps a sharp turnaround for Station Camp. Green Hill swept the Bison 3-0 for the District 12-AAA championship on Oct. 6. Green Hill carried a 22-8 record into that match, while Station Camp stood at 24-12. Green Hill's Maddie Long earned the district tournament's Most Valuable Player award after the sweep.

One week later, the Bison flipped the result at the same gym.

Station Camp opened the region tournament earlier Tuesday with a 3-0 semifinal win over Hillsboro, then turned around and played Green Hill for the title. Winning both matches on the road in a single day made the five-set comeback all the more significant for a program that had been on the wrong end of a district sweep seven days earlier.

The region crown sends Station Camp to the TSSAA Class AAA sectional round. Sportswriter Blaine Kellar reported on X that the Bison will face Summit, the reigning Class AAA state champion. Kellar noted that Summit beat Station Camp 2-0 earlier this season in tournament play, giving the Spartans a head-to-head edge heading into the rematch.

Class AAA sectionals are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15.
