Hendersonville's girls soccer team fell 2-1 to Station Camp on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at The Range in Gallatin.

The loss was the Commandos' third of the season and snapped a strong run for a Hendersonville squad that entered the match 6-2-1 overall and unbeaten in AAA District 12 play. Station Camp has now won six of the last seven meetings between the two Sumner County programs, according to Main Street Media of Tennessee.

Hendersonville's lone win in the rivalry stretch came last season.

Izzy Palenzuela and Emma Wood scored the goals for Station Camp, the team's official account confirmed on X. Ally Bacigalupo was in goal for the Commandos. Josie Hines, Leah Wuori, Jubilee Davis and Avery Yurisic were among the Hendersonville players in action, according to Main Street Media.

Despite the result, Hendersonville remains in first place in AAA District 12 at 4-0 in district matches, per MaxPreps. The Commandos moved to 6-3-1 overall.

Station Camp improved to 7-9 overall and 5-1 in AA District 9, second in the district standings, per MaxPreps.

The match was a bounce-back for Station Camp coach Jeremy Cooke's squad. The Bison had lost 4-0 to Liberty Creek on Thursday, Sept. 24, a game in which they struggled to finish scoring chances. Both Palenzuela and teammate Harper Thomas had been dealing with injuries heading into that stretch, according to a Main Street Media report published Sept. 25.

"We just couldn't capitalize on chances," Cooke told Main Street Media after the Sept. 24 loss to Liberty Creek.

Five days later, Palenzuela found the net against the Commandos.

Ella Barrier was in goal for Station Camp. The match kicked off at 7 p.m., with Main Street Media's Blaine Kellar covering the game and Anthony Britton providing photography.

Hendersonville hosts White House on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. Station Camp travels to Franklin on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m.
